Conservation work party at Orton Moss Nature Reserve, Cumbria Wildlife TrustConservation work party at Orton Moss Nature Reserve, Cumbria Wildlife Trust

29 May 2012 Tue 10.00am-3.30pm Come along and help us to make a real difference to this important Site of Special Scientific Interest. Despite its name the site is a mixture of wet grassland and woodland. We will be working to restore areas of herb-rich wet grassland that have degraded through lack of management. This will involve installing fencing and gates so that the site can be grazed with longhorn cattle. We may also do some access improvement work. Please bring appropriate outdoor clothing and a packed lunch.
